MANILA, Philippines – Naglayag sa West Philippine Sea ang mga naval vessel ng Pilipinas at pito iba pang bansa para sa joint maritime exercise, ayon sa Philippine Navy nitong Biyernes, Setyembre 25.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ng Philippine Navy na ang aktibidad ay bahagi ng ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus Experts’ Working Group sa Maritime Security Joint Cooperative Activity at Future Leaders’ Program.
Sa pangunguna ng Pilipinas, nilahukan ang mga exercise ng pwersa mula sa Estados Unidos, Japan, Australia, India, New Zealand, Singapore, at Brunei.
Pinangunahan ng Philippine Navy frigate BRP Jose Rizal (FFG14) ang column formation kasabay ng pagsasagawa ng ibang warships ng coordinated maneuvering at navigation sa dagat.

United States: US Navy littoral combat ship
Australia: Royal Australian Navy frigate
Japan: Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) helicopter destroyer
New Zealand: Royal New Zealand Navy frigate and sustainment vessel
India: Indian Navy frigate and corvette
Singapore: Republic of Singapore Navy littoral ship
Brunei: Royal Brunei Navy patrol ship
