MANILA, Philippines – Hindi umano nagsasabi ng totoo ang Philippine National Police (PNP) kaugnay sa sinasabi ng mga ito na “lawful operation” sa paghahatid ng arrest warrants para sa puganteng si Apollo Quiboloy at iba pa sa Davao City ilang araw na ang nakararaan.
Ayon sa religious sect na Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC), inatake ng daan-daang mga miyembro ng PNP na pawang mga armado, ang kanilang mga compound sa Davao City noong Hunyo 10 gamit ang “unnecessary and unrestrained force.”
“Philippine National Police, which was serving a warrant of arrest for Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and five others, said that they stormed the KJC compound because they were hit by a water cannon,” saad sa pahayag ng KJC nitong Huwebes, Hunyo 13.
“However, CCTV footage shows the PNP’s claim is false. The footage showed that the water cannon was used only when the soldiers forced their way into the compound,” dagdag pa.
Sinabi rin ng KJC na nagpatuloy pa rin ang mga miyembro ng PNP sa operasyon sa kabila ng pagsasabi nilang hintayin muna ang mga abogado ng grupo.
May mga umakyat pa umano sa hagdan ng gate at tumalon sa compound.
“A number of the missionaries sustained injuries after the PNP’s violent entry, including a woman who got kicked in her face by a military boot. Two other male missionaries also sustained injuries on their shoulders and arms,” ayon pa sa KJC.
Ayon sa abogado ni Quiboloy na si Israelito Torreon, pinayagan ang mga pulis na pumasok sa compound matapos na dumating sa lugar ang mga abogado ng KJC.
“What happened in Glory Mountain was much worse. The main gate was smashed [and] destroyed when the police forcibly entered the property. Five members of KOJC were arrested and handcuffed by the police as they allegedly were carrying bolos during the raid,” sinabi ni Torreon nitong Lunes.
Wala pang tugon ang PNP sa naging pahayag ng KJC.
Bago rito ay ipinanindigan na ng PNP na ang operasyon noong Hunyo 10 laban kay Quiboloy at mga kasamahan nito sa Davao City ay isinagawa “in strict compliance with its legal security protocols.”
Wala ring nasaktan na sinuman sa pagsisilbi ng arrest warrants.
Noong Abril 3, ipinag-utos ng Davao Regional Trial Court ang pag-aresto kay Quiboloy at mga kasamahan nitong sina Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada, Sylvia Camanes, at Jackiely Roy sa paglabag sa Republic Act 7610, o Anti-Child Abuse Law, lalo na ang probisyon sa sexual abuse ng menor de edad at pangmamaltrato.
Nag-isyu rin ng arrest warrant ang Pasig City court laban kay Quiboloy para sa non-bailable offense ng qualified human trafficking noong Abril 11. RNT/JGC
