MANILA, Philippines- Opisyal na itinalaga ang Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, kilala na Quiapo Church, bilang archdiocesan shrine ni Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula, anunsyo ng Simbahan nitong Miyerkules.
Batay sa Decree of Erection na may petsang May 10, 2023, inaprubahan ng kardinal ang petisyon na italaga ang Quiapo Church na “Archdiocesan Shrine of the Black Nazarene.”
“By these presents, We hereby decree that the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene – St. John the Baptist Parish (Quiapo Church), be conferred the title of the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Black Nazarene,” anito.
Inihain ni Rev. Fr. Rufino Sescon, Jr. at ng Quiapo Church community ang petisyon.
Sa nasabing decree, ang Quiapo Church ay ginagawaran ng “all the rights and privileges as embodied in the statutes” at sa ilalim ng probisyon ng Canons 1230 hanggang 1234 ng Code of Canon Law. RNT/SA
