MANILA, Philippines – Itinanghal na bagong tourism ambassador ng Pilipinas ang South Korean actor at singer na si Seo In Guk.
Nitong Biyernes, Pebrero 21, ay isinagawa ang ceremonial signing ng memorandum of understanding sa pagitan nina Seo In Guk at Department of Tourism (DoT), para pagtibayin ang conferment ng Philippine Tourism Ambassadorship sa Korean star.
Si Seo In Guk ay kilala sa kanyang mga role sa
Korean Drama series na Reply 1997, The Master’s Sun, at Hello Monster.
“Mr. Seo In Guk’s artistry has cultivated a deep connection with Filipino fans and other people all over the world making him an ideal representative to share the wonders of the Philippines to the world,” pahayag ni DoT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco.
Ani Frasco, si Seo In Guk ay tutulong sa pagpapakilala sa Pilipinas bilang isang must-visit destination para sa mga South Korean sa pamamagitan ng digital content.
Ayon pa sa DOT, ang South Korea ang patuloy na nangungunang top market para sa Philippine tourism.
Noong 2024, nasa 1.5 milyong turista mula sa South Korea ang dumating sa Pilipinas.
“This partnership aligns with our broader efforts to diversify our tourism offerings and position the Philippines as a tourism powerhouse, leveraging the power of pop culture and digital influence so as to allow us to engage deeper with global travelers especially those who share a passion for good music film and adventure,” ani Frasco.
Nagpasalamat naman si Seo in Guk sa DOT at mga fans nito sa pagiging isang tourism ambassador.
“This is really a big responsibility for me. I thank the Filipinos for giving me much love. In order to pay you back, I will make sure you are all going to be satisfied with all my future activities,” ani Seo in Guk.
