MANILA, Philippines – Tinuligsa ng Supreme Court (SC) ang mga social media posts na mayroon umanong inihain na petisyon sa SC na may 16 na milyong lagda na nananawagan na magbitiw na sa puwesto si Ferdinand Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr.
Nadiskubre ng SC ang kumalat na post sa Facebook accounts ng isa umanong “Choose Libungan” at “Bernard Flores Maicon” na si SC Spokesperson Camille Ting umano ang nag-anunsyo hinggil sa naturang petisyon.
“We categorically deny the authenticity of this document. No such statement has been issued by the Supreme Court spokesperson. Further, the same Facebook accounts claimed in separate posts that the Supreme Court En Banc will convene today, March 17, 2025, to discuss the alleged petition.”
Iginiit ng SC na walang katotohanan ang social media posts at walang idaraos na En Banc session ngayong araw.
Ayon sa SC, iimbestigahan na ang pekeng balita para matukoy kung sino ang mga nasa likod nito para mabigyan ng karampatang parusa.
“These acts of disinformation, including previous false reports on March 11, 2025, alleging that the Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order, will be submitted for appropriate action. The Supreme Court will investigate these incidents and take necessary measures, including the imposition of proper sanctions on those responsible.”
Nagbabala rin ang Supreme Court sa publiko na maging maingat at huwag basta-basta magkalat ng mga hindi beripikadong impormasyon. TERESA TAVARES
