MANILA, Philippines – – Nagbigay ng mahigit P5 milyong halaga ng disaster relief supplies ang Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) sa Pilipinas kasunod ng pananalasa ng sunod-sunod na bagyo.
“Given the geographical proximity and frequent exposure to extreme weather and natural disasters, the Taiwan government and its people deeply empathize with the Philippines’ current plight,” ayon sa TECO.
“The Taiwan government and its people extend their heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of the typhoons, wish the injured a swift recovery, and hope that they will soon rebuild their homes and resume normal lives,” dagdag pa.
Ibinigay ni TECO Rep. Wallace Minn-Gan Chow ang tulong kay Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) Chairperson Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil sa isang seremonya nitong Biyernes, Nobyembre 22.
Kabilang dito ang emergency shelter kits, solar lamps, bedding sets, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, kitchen sets, at personal hygiene items.
Ihahatid ng MECO ang sariwang mga suplay sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) para sa coordinated distribution. RNT/JGC
