MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng Philippine National Police (PNP) nitong Martes, Setyembre 17 na bumuo na ito ng special tracker teams para galugarin ang kinaroroonan ni dating presidential spokesperson Harry Roque kasabay ng arrest orders mula sa Kamara.
“We have officially received the request from the House of Representatives, and the PNP is fully committed to executing this order while adhering to our core mandate,” pahayag ni PNP chief Police General Rommel Marbil.
Nangako si Marbil na ang mga operasyong ito ay gagawin sa pinakamataas na professionalism at respeto sa due process.
“Our fundamental duty is to respect the decisions of our democratic institutions and ensure human rights are protected throughout this process,” dagdag pa niya.
Si Roque ay na-cite in contempt at inatasang i-detain ng apat na House of Representatives committees o “QuadComm” noong Setyembre 13 matapos na tumangging magpasa ng dokumento na magpapakita ng kanyang biglaang pagtaas ng yaman. RNT/JGC
