MANILA, Philippines- Nadakip ng mga awtoridad ang walong lalaking sangkot sa unauthorized cross-refilling ng liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products sa Caloocan City, ayon sa Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) nitong Linggo.
Nadakip umano ang mga suspek nitong Biyernes sa bisa ng search warrant.
Nasabat ng mga pulis ang 38 empty cylinders, 42 filled cylinders, apat na sasakyan, weighing scales, component hoses, refilling pumps, compressor, at bullet tank na may estimated value na P25,000,000.
Inihayag ng PNP-CIDG na nahaharap ang mga suspek sa kasong unauthorized cross-filling and manufacturing, distributing, refilling, or selling LPG cylinders carrying a trademark or trade name without the express approval of the trademark owner sa ilalim ng LPG Industry Regulation Act.
Samantala, tinutugis ng mga awtoridad ang lima pang suspek.
“We encourage the public to report any violation and illegal activities and trade malpractice involving LPG and other consumer products,” wika ni CIDG Police Major General Nicolas Torres II.
Ito ay sa pagtaas ng LPG firms ng presyo ng P0.70 per kilogram nitong Pebrero, kasunod ng ipinatupad na rollback noong nakaraang buwan. RNT/SA
