MANILA, Philippines — Umalis ng bansa si Vice President Sara Duterte para sa isang overseas trip habang sumasapit sa ikawalong araw ang kanyang impeachment trial, ayon sa Office of the Vice President nitong Martes.
Kabilang sa kanyang itinerary ang Qatar, United Kingdom, at The Netherlands. Sa UK, lalahok si Duterte sa isang forum at dadalo sa isang aktibidad kasama ang Filipino community.
“These activities are intended to engage with overseas Filipinos and advance the Philippines’ interests abroad. The itinerary includes both official foreign travel and personal engagements,” ayon sa OVP.
“No government funds will be used by the Vice President for the entire duration of the trip,” dagdag nito.
Kinumpirma ng Malacañang na nakakuha si Duterte ng travel authority para sa Hulyo 16 hanggang 31, 2026.
Tiniyak naman ng OVP na magpapatuloy ang operasyon nito habang wala ang Bise Presidente, kabilang ang disaster response at pagpapatupad ng mga programa at proyekto sa pamamagitan ng 10 satellite offices nito.
