For Colonel Joey Caise, of the Philippine National Police, that quiet commitment has defined a career built across some of the most demanding fields of police service.
A member of Philippine National Police Academy Class of 2001, Buklod-Diwa, Caise was raised in Cagayan, Region II, where his journey toward public service began.
At the PNPA, Cadet C-01040 embraced the values of discipline, courage, leadership, responsibility and commitment to country.
After graduation, he entered frontline police service, including assignments in Parañaque, where he dealt directly with communities, responded to incidents, and helped maintain peace and order.
His career later moved into criminal investigation through the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
There, he gained experience in intelligence gathering, surveillance, suspect identification, and case development — work requiring patience, precision and persistence.
He subsequently joined the PNP Drug Enforcement Group, including service as commander of Special Operations Unit 4-A.
In the fight against organized drug networks, intelligence, coordination, planning and operational discipline became essential tools.
His journey eventually brought him to the Highway Patrol Group, where he handled responsibilities involving anti-carnapping operations, vehicle-related crimes, highway enforcement, and other organized criminal activities.
His experience also included enforcement operations involving suspected illegal drugs, smuggled goods and illicit cigarettes — cases with implications extending beyond individual offenders to communities and the wider economy.
Yet amid these demanding assignments, one quality remains constant: quiet professionalism.
He does not need the spotlight to demonstrate leadership.
From Cagayan to the PNPA, CIDG, PDEG and HPG, Col. Caise has built a career shaped by experience, discipline, responsibility and service.
