MANILA, Philippines- Pinayagan ng Tarlac court na nagpaaresto kay Alice Guo sa graft charges ang hiling ng Senado na dumalo ito sa pagpapatuloy ng legislative investigation sa ilegal na Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
Ibinahagi ni Senator Risa Hontiveros, chairperson ng Senate committee na nagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon, ang kopya ng kautusan na ipinalabas ni Capas, Tarlac Regional Trial Court Branch 109 Presiding Judge Sarah Vedaña-Delos Santos.
“Given the critical importance of the ongoing inquiry in aid of legislation, the Court grants the Senator’s request,” saad sa kautusan.
“Wherefore, the accused Alice Guo alias ‘Guo Hua Ping’ is allowed to attend the scheduled public hearing mentioned above provided that strict protocol be observed,” batay pa rito.
Gayundin, iniatas ng Tarlac court sa PNP Custodial Center na dalhin si Guo sa Senado sa Lunes.
Inihayag ni Philippine National Police spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo na “the PNP will follow the court order with strict observance of security protocol as ordered by the court.”
Nauna nang sumulat ni Hontiveros kay Vedaña-Delos Santos bilang chairperson ng Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality kung saan hiniling sa Tarlac court na payagan si Guo na dumalo sa pagpapatuloy ng imbestigasyon ng panel na nakatakda sa Setyembre 9.
Kasunod ito ng pagpapalabas ng korte ng commitment order para kay Guo, na hindi nagpiyansa, upang maditine sa PNP Custodial Center sa Camp Crame.
Iginiit ni Hontiveros na dapat itinurn-over si Guo sa Senado matapos maproseso ng National Bureau of Investigation at ng Philippine National Police pagdating niya sa Pilipinas mula sa Indonesia.
Aniya pa, ang Sandiganbayan dapat ang humawak sa graft and corruption charges laban sa matataas na opisyal tulad ni Guo.
Dinala si Guo sa Capas RTC alinsunod sa warrant of arrest thatna ipinalabas laban sa kanya noong Huwebes.
Nadakip si Guo, nahaharap sa human trafficking at money laundering complaints, ng Indonesian authorities sa Tangerang City noong Miyerkules ng umaga.
