MANILA, Philippines – Naghahanda ang Department of Transportation-Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr-SAICT) sa paparating na Semana Santa.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ng DOTR na nakipag-ugnayan ito sa Department of Information – Communications Technology-Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (DICT-CICC) at Scam Watch Pilipinas bago pa ang inaasahang dagsa ng mga pasahero.
Layon nitong tugunan ang pangangailangan sa mga terminal, pantalan at paliparan, at masiguro ang smooth traffic flow at ligtas na biyahe sa mga pasahero.
Kabilang sa preparasyon ay ang 24/7 monitoring ng EDSA Busway operations, hub at provincial bus terminals, tuloy-tuloy na anti-colorum operations, roadside checks, at mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng mga batas-trapiko sa Metro Manila at kalapit na lugar.
“The aim of this initiative is to provide a safe and convenient journey for all travelers nationwide in accordance with the directive of DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista,” saad sa pahayag.
Pumirma rin ang DOTr, DICT, Scam Watch, at iba pang ahensya ng memorandum of understanding para sa “Online Bantay Lakbay 2024,” na layong protektahan ang publiko mula sa online travel-related scams.
