MANILA, Philippines – Posibleng umabot sa “danger” level ang heat index sa Puerto Princesa City sa 42 degrees Celsius ngayong Lunes, Marso 25 at bukas, Marso 26.
Ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), ang heat index na nasa “danger” category ay mula 42 degrees Celsius hanggang 51 degrees Celsius.
Posible itong magdulot ng heat exhaustion, at posible rin ang heat stroke sa tuloy-tuloy na exposure sa araw.
Ang heat index ay sinusukat sa lebel ng discomfort ng isang tao sa pinagsamang epekto ng temperatura at air humidity.
