MANILA, Philippines – Iniimbestigahan na ng Philippine Statistics Authority ang ulat na may mga natagpuan umanong national IDs sa basurahan sa Barangay Tiling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ng PSA na makikipag-ugnayan ito sa Philippine Postal Corporation para sa imbestigasyon.
“The agency assures the public that this is an isolated case. The privacy and security of the data of PhilSys-registered persons is of the highest priority, and strict protocols in the distribution of PhilIDs and ePhilIDs have been in place since the beginning of its distribution,” sinabi ng PSA.
Sa naunang report sa social media, nasa 100 national IDs ang nadiskubre sa basurahan sa Barangay Tiling, Cauayan, ng nasabing probinsya.
