MANILA, Philippines – Nag-iba ang operational hours ng Tacloban Airport bilang bahagi ng nagpapatuloy na runway maintenance, inanunsyo ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
Ang operational hours ng nasabing paliparan ay mula alas-6 ng umaga hanggang alas-6 ng gabi mula Mayo 2 hanggang Agosto 2, mula sa orihinal na operating hours na 4:30 ng umaga hanggang 8:30 ng gabi.
“Sunrise-sunset operations will take place, while repairs will be carried out at night. This schedule allows ample time for the asphalt to cure before the first morning flight traverses the runway,” saad sa pahayag ng CAAP.
“The repair is being expedited in anticipation of the onset of the rainy season. The notice about the adjusted operational hours will be lifted ahead of the three-month schedule once the runway repair is completed.”
Kabilang sa runway repair ay ang asphalt overlay, na makakaapekto sa 12 flights patungo at mula Manila.
