MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na hindi isyu sa kanya ang pananahimik ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa isyu na may kaugnayan sa China.
Sa briefing nitong Biyernes ng hapon, Abril 12, sinabi ni Marcos na ang Bise Presidente, bilang bahagi ng kanyang administrasyon, ay kahanay niya sa paninindigan sa agresibong aksyon ng China sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).
“The Vice President is part of the government. Unlike before. But now she is really part of the administration, … the government’s agenda in this administration,” ayon sa Pangulo.
Sinabi pa ni Marcos na, “[it’s] not the role of the Vice President or the secretary of Education to talk about China. So I think we are all in line because I’m very sure that if Inday Sara had some very serious misgivings about what we are doing in terms of foreign policies, she would bring that [up] to me.”
“And she has not said anything. When we last talked, all she said was that she would continue working, that’s what she said. That’s a good policy. So, I don’t think it is something that we need to be concerned with,” pagpapatuloy nito.
Matatandaan na hindi nagbigay ng pahayag si Duterte sa isyu ng China kaugnay na ang pinakahuling pag-atake nito gamit ang water cannon sa mga barko ng Pilipinas sa resupply missions sa Ayungin Shoal noong Marso 5 at Marso 23. RNT/JGC
