Ang PCA “is exploring the possibility of collaborating with the Philippine Supreme Court for the conduct of PCA proceedings in the Philippines,” saad sa pahayag ng SC.

“PCA Secretary General Marcin Czepelak said this could come through a Host Country Agreement where PCA can hold hearings in facilities provided by the Philippine Supreme Court,” dagdag pa sa pahayag.

Ayon kay Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, susuriin ng SC ang naturang proposal.

Handa naman ang SC “to supporting activities in relation to strengthening international law… to ensure that the rule of law prevails in the whole world,” sinabi ni Gesmundo.

“This means that the PCA can conduct hearings in accordance with PCA rules using facilities at PDRCI and that PDCRI-administered cases can also be conducted or held in PCA offices in The Hague, Singapore, and Vietnam in accordance with PDRCI rules,” saad pa sa pahayag ng SC.

Siniguro naman ni Gesmundo kay Czepelak na ang Korte Suprema ng Pilipinas “is always willing to help the PCA and The Hague Conference on International Private Law (HCCH) in their activities.” RNT/JGC
