Sa two-day visit ng Finnish diplomat sa Pilipinas noong Abril 11 at Abril 12, sinabi ni Jarno Syrjälä, Finland Undersecretary of State for International Trade, pinag-usapan nila ang iba’t ibang areas of cooperation sa pamahalaan, katulad ng circular economy, digitalization, energy bioeconomy “and everything that relates to green transition.”

Binisita ng opisyal ang ilang ahensya ng pamahalaan, kabilang ang Department of Migrant Workers at Department of Trade and Industry, maging ang ilang Finnish companies na nakabase sa Pilipinas.

“The way I see it, we are entering a more active era. We reopened the [Finnish] embassy [here] in 2020 and we got information that the Philippines will open an embassy in Helsinki later this year,” sinabi ni Syrjälä.

“We also talked about how we could try to promote investment, sending goods back and forth, having more economic cooperation and to that category falls also the education sector and migrant workers,” sinabi ni Syrjälä. RNT/JGC
