MANILA, Philippines – Dinala sa St. Luke’s Medical Center sa Taguig City nitong Lunes, Marso 24, si detained Chinese businessman Tony Yang makaraang umubo ng dugo, ayon sa
Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).
Si Yang ay tinukoy bilang isang key figure sa
Philippine offshore gaming operators (Pogos) sa imbestigasyon ng Senado tungkol dito.
Sa pahayag nitong madaling araw ng Martes, Marso 25, sinabi ng PAOCC na “At around 1 p.m. [on Monday], Mr. Yang complained of congested chest pains and showed the on-duty PAOCC personnel his blood-covered handkerchief.”
“He has been diagnosed with suspected tuberculosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease by the attending physician at the hospital. He has been released while waiting for the confirmatory results of his laboratory tests,” dagdag ng PAOCC.
Tatlong sunod na araw nang umuubo ng dugo si Yang.
“Mr. Yang is the latest in a series of PAOCC wards who have been hospitalized for various medical issues. However, his case is the most serious, needing immediate and long-term attention,” dagdag pa.
Hindi na idinetalye pa ng komisyon kung ilang indibidwal sa kustodiya nito ang naospital at kung ano ang mga dahilan.
Nahaharap si Yang sa mga reklamong inihain ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Northern Mindanao sa falsification of public documents, at perjury.
