MANILA, Philippines- Sinabi ng Philippine National Police (PNP) nitong Sabado na natukoy nito ang posibleng pinagmulan ng deepfake video ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Sinimulan ng PNP at ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ang imbestigasyon sa video, base kay PNP spokesperson, Col. Jean Fajardo nitong Sabado.
“We have identified a possible source behind the deepfake audio, but as to the extent of their involvement, that is still the subject of our investigation,” pahayag ni Fajardo.
Batay sa deepfake video, inatasan ni Marcos na atakihin ang isang partikular na bansa.
Subalit, pinabulaanan ng Presidential Communications Office ang video at sinabing peke ito.
“We ask everyone to be proactive in exposing and fighting against misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation. Let us remain and be more mindful and responsible of the content we choose to share in our shared digital spaces,” pahayag ng PCO noong Martes.
“Whether this is intentional or not, those people behind this deepfake audio will be held accountable,” giit ng PNP official. RNT/SA
