MANILA, Philippines – Seryoso ang Department of Justice (DOJ) sa pagsusumikap nito na bantayan ang karapatan pantao at sugpuin ang extra-judicial killings (EJKs).
Ito ang pahayag ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla bunsod ng mga ulat na tuloy pa rin ang EJKs sa bansa.
Tiniyak ni Remulla na may mga repormang nakalatag upang mabago ang kaisipan at asal ng mga tiwaling otoridad.
“We guarantee that reforms are in place to change the mindset and attitude of erring law enforcers and make them responsible for their actions.We are taking all the necessary steps to strengthen the criminal justice system and hold to account the perpetrators of these violations.”
Ipinaalala ng DOJ sa mga law enforcers na walang “shortcuts” sa pagpapatupad ng peace and order.
