IN just 100 days at the helm of Police Regional Office 3, PBGen. Rogelio “Pojie” Peñones Jr. has proven himself a results-driven and mission-focused leader.
From the onset of his leadership on June 19, his directives have translated into decisive action against crime, most notably in the region’s aggressive stance against illegal drugs.
Under his watch, Central Luzon law enforcers seized nearly P907 million worth of illegal drugs — a staggering figure that includes over 132,000 grams of shabu.
This feat reflects not only operational efficiency but a deep commitment to protecting communities from the dangers of narcotics, in line with the national government’s anti-drug thrust.
Crime statistics also reveal positive strides. Index crimes declined, and focus crimes dropped by 100 cases compared to the same period last year.
With 1,596 wanted persons arrested — including 370 most wanted and the Top 10 Regional Most Wanted captured within a single week — PRO3 has sent a strong message: fugitives have nowhere to hide.
His term also saw the confiscation of 635 illegal firearms and the peaceful handling of sensitive events like the Martial Law anniversary rallies, demonstrating a balanced approach between enforcement and human rights.
Peñones attributes these achievements to unity, discipline and dedication — values clearly ingrained in PRO3’s culture under his leadership.
Backed by the Philippine National Police’s vision and the guidance of Acting Chief PLtGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., Peñones is not just steering Central Luzon toward peace and order — he’s laying down the groundwork for lasting security.
His first 100 days were not just promising — they were powerful. And by all indications, the best is yet to come.
