MANILA, Philippines – Nadakip ng mga operatiba ng Pasay City police ang Top 1 Most Wanted Person (MWP) ng kasalukuyang buwan sa ikinasang manhunt operation sa Batangas Biyernes ng hapon, Abril 11.
Sa report na isinumite ni Pasay City police chief P/Col. Joselito De Sesto kay Southern Police District (SPD) director PBGen Joseph Arguelles ay nakilala ang inarestong suspect na si alyas Jan, 38, residente ng Barangay 140, Pasay City.
Ayon kay De Sesto, nadakip ng mga tauhan ng Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) si alyas Jan dakong alas 4:00 ng hapon sa isinagawang manhunt operation sa Nasugbu, Batangas, kung saan nagtago ang suspect sa mga nakalipas na taon.
Si alyas Jan ay inaresto sa bisa ng isinilbing warrant of arrest na inisyu noong Hulyo 26, 2024 Pasay Cty Regional Trial Court (RTC) Presiding Judge Irma B. Panahon-Abad ng Branch Branch 113 dahil sa kasong 8 counts ng rape by sexual assault na nakapailalim sa Article 266-A Paragraph 2 ng Revised Penal Code (RPC) na may kaugnayan sa Section 5(b) ng RA 7610.
Kasalukuyang nakapiit sa custodial facility ng Pasay City police ang suspect habang naghihintay ng commitment order ng korte para s aapglipat ng knaynag pakukulungan sa Pasay City jail.
Pinuri naman ni Arguelles ang Pasay City police sa pagkakadakip sa suspect na nagsabing, “I commend the men and women of Pasay CPS for their resolute commitment and exceptional execution of this high-impact operation.
