MANILA, Philippines – Nasa 43% ng Filipino professionals at mga empleyado ang “conflicted” sa pag-usbong ng generative artificial intelligence (AI) na lumilikha ng mga bagong content, saad sa report ng US-based Boston Consulting Group Center for Consumer Insight (BCG-CCI) nitong Miyerkules, Abril 24.
Sa report na may pamagat na How People Really Feel About AI, lumabas na 38% ng mga Filipino ang “excited” sa paglago ng AI, habang 19% lamang ang nagsabing sila ay “concerned.”
Sakop ng survey ang 21,400 respondents mula sa 21 bansa kabilang ang Pilipinas, na tinanong ng: “Which of the following statements apply to you regarding the rise of artificial intelligence?”
Tinukoy nito ang “excited” bilang “those who expressed only positive sentiments;” conflicted para sa mga nagpahayag ng “mixed positive and negative sentiments;” at concerned sa mga nagpakita lamang ng negatibong sentimyento.
Sa overall sentiments sa mga bansang sinurvey, 43% ng professionals at employees sa buong mundo ang excited sa paglago ng AI, at 29% ang concerned habang 28% ang conflicted.
Nakikita ng mga respondents ang AI na magpapabuti ng kanilang araw-araw na buhay sa 39%, magbibigay-daan sa scientific/medical breakthroughs (32%); at magdudulot ng bagong uri ng arts/expression (24%).
Ang mga pangamba naman kaugnay nito ay ang data privacy (33%); degree of uncertainty (11%); at environmental impact (10%).
“It is an interesting dichotomy. Those with younger populations…the emerging economies….they would rather have AI access rather than no access at all. They want AI-enabled diagnostic solutions so they can bring medical care to far-flung places. But for mature markets that have larger access to infrastructure, they don’t take that access for granted. So there is resistance,” sinabi ni Aparna Bharadwaj, Global Leader ng BCG Global Advantage Practice, sa online press briefing.
“It (AI sentiment) depends on the amount of resources, infrastructure, and technology available to them,” dagdag pa.
Ang may pinakamataas na “concern” sa paglago ng AI ay naitala sa anim sa malalaking ekonomiya ng mundo. Ito ay ang France sa 50%, Australia sa 49%, UK sa 43%, Sweden sa 42%, United States sa 40% at Germany sa 39%. RNT/JGC
