MANILA, Philippines – Siniguro ng Department of National Defense (DND) na handa ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa pag-asiste sa humanitarian at evacuation operations sa nagpapatuloy na tensyon sa Middle East.
Ayon kay DND spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arsenio Andolong, mahigpit nilang minomonitor ang sitwasyon sa Middle East sa koordinasyon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), at iba pang concerned agencies.
“The Armed Forces of the Philippines stands ready to assist in humanitarian and evacuation operations, if directed,” saad sa pahayag ni Andolong.
“The DND and the AFP are ready to respond to probable contingencies, including possible repatriation support and crisis response coordination of Filipinos in affected countries should conditions warrant further action,” dagdag pa nito.
“The spread of unverified reports and disinformation only creates unnecessary concern,” ani Padilla.
“We remain in close coordination with relevant agencies and stakeholders to ensure preparedness and safeguard key establishments and the public nationwide,” para naman sa Philippine National Police. RNT/JGC
