PRESIDENTIAL Adviser for Poverty Alleviation (PAPA) Lorenzo “Larry” Gadon hailed the decision of the Commission on Elections on disqualifying the technology provider Smartmatic from engaging in the future elections in the country.

“The Comelec just did the best and timely move, disqualifying Smartmatic from participating in any upcoming and future elections in the Philippines,” Gadon told Good Riddance.

“Smartmatic is a cheating machine,” said Gadon who ran under the ticket of then presidential candidate and now President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. but lost during the May 2022 polls.

He claimed that Smartmatic cheated Marcos in 2016 when he ran in the vice presidential race which was confirmed by the results of the 2022 elections.

“In 2022 , Smartmatic was unable to cheat President Marcos due to the overwhelming turn-out of voters which resulted in the 31 million votes of PBBM,” Gadon said.

“The highest presidential votes ever, the second highest being PRRD (in apparent reference to former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte) at 18-M votes,” he claimed.

The presidential adviser went on saying that the so-called Marcos Loyalist votes took a vengeance as a protest to the 2016 cheating.

Moreover, PAPA Gadon alleged that Smartmatic cheated some senatorial candidates.

“How can some candidates  who call PBBM son of dictator, tax evader, son of human rights violator and many derogatory names get more votes in Ilocano provinces than some Uniteam senatorial candidates?,” he asked.

“It is hard to accept as reality that they did not get at least one half of the 31 million votes obtained by PBBM,” the presidential adviser said.

In an earlier interview, Gadon said he was shocked to find out that Senator Risa Hontiveros, who belonged to the opposition party, even got much higher votes as compared with what he got in Ilocos region where he was popular and being a Marcos bailiwick.

“That’s totally unbelievable and only the Smartmatic had an answer to that,” he added.
