THE Malabon City government has officially opened the nominations for this year’s 40th Gintong Parangal “40 Taon: Pagpupugay sa Nakaraan, Pagyabong ng Kinabukasan,” a recognition program that honors outstanding Malabueños for their exemplary contributions to the city’s continuous growth and development.

The program, spearheaded by the Katiwasayan para Sa Mamamayan/Kalipunan ng mga Samahan sa Malabon Inc. (KaSaMa Inc.), a group of civil society organizations led by its president, ex-Cong. Ricky Sandoval, in partnership with the city government, aims to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions in uplifting the lives of Malabueños and advancing the city’s development.

The award categories include ‘Gawad Pagkilala’ for students who have attained remarkable academic achievements such as Latin Honors (Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude graduates with certification from their colleges/universities), successful bar/board exam passers, doctoral degree holders, international Awardees and Outstanding Citizens of Malabon who must be born in Malabon and/or resident for at least 10 years or proud of having roots in Malabon.

He/she must have brought honor to Malabon through significant achievements locally or abroad that benefit society at large, Sandoval said.

Residents are encouraged to submit their requirements along with the nomination form to the Philippine Red Cross Malabon Chapter in Barangay Potrero until September 15, 2025.
