RUSSIA – Nagsimula na ang Russian forces sa unang stage ng kanilang military drills “involving practical training in the preparation and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons” sa Southern Military District, ayon sa Defense Ministry nitong Martes, Mayo 21.
Mismong si President Vladimir Putin ang nagbigay ng kautusan na isagawa ngayong buwan ang mga drill.
Ayon sa defense ministry, tampok sa unang stage ng exercise ang Iskander at Kinzhal missiles.
Layon nito na masigurong ang mga unit at equipment ay handa para sa “combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons to respond and unconditionally ensure the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Russian state in response to provocative statements and threats of individual Western officials against the Russian Federation.” RNT/JGC
