MANILA, Philippines- Ikinabahala ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) ang misleading social media content na naglalayon umanong sirain ang kredibilidad ng Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
Naglabas ng pahayag ang PSA nitong Lunes, bilag tugon sa isang Facebook user na nagbahagi ng imahe ng minanipulang Philippine Identification card (PhilID).
“The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reminds the public to be cautious regarding a viral social media post showing a front-facing photo of a registered person’s PhilID that was manipulated using a photo filter application,” anang ahensya.
“The PSA reminds the public to remain vigilant, verify sources of information, and be aware of misleading content that undermines the credibility of the Philippine Identification System,” paalala pa nito.
Samantala, mariing umapela ang PSA sa publiko na iwasang ibahagi ang kanilang PhilID at ePhilID online upang maprotektahan ang kanilang personal na impormasyon.
Nauna nang sinabi ng PSA na bukas na ang PhilSys authentication services sa publiko, na nagbibigay-daan upang maberipika ang PhilID. RNT/SA
