THE Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office has completed the history-making nationwide distribution of Patient Transport Vehicles to all 82 provinces of the country, according to a good friend, General Manager Mel Robles.

He said the turnover of the final batch of units was held during a ceremony held recently at the provincial capitol of Pampanga.

GM Robles said a total of 34 PTVs were distributed during the event, covering the remaining provinces in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon and Cordillera Administrative Region, formally completing the agency’s provincial PTV rollout nationwide.

He said the completion of the nationwide provincial rollout fulfills President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to make emergency medical assistance more accessible to every Filipino.

“This mission is guided by the vision of the President that no Filipino, no matter how far or how humble their circumstances, should ever be left without access to emergency medical care.”

“Through the completion of the nationwide distribution of Patient Transport Vehicles to all provinces, we are translating that vision into concrete action that will help save lives and bring medical assistance closer to every community,” he added.

The milestone marks the full implementation of one of the Marcos administration’s flagship healthcare initiatives, ensuring that every province in the country now has dedicated PTVs to strengthen emergency medical response and improve access to healthcare services, according to PCSO.

This accomplishment also marks a first in Philippine history, making it the first time that all provinces nationwide have been provided with ambulances through a government-led program,” Robles pointed out.

Hailed as one of the top performing government-owned and controlled corporations in terms of remittances to the government coffers, the PCSO said its provincial rollout builds on its another major achievement after it attained 100 percent distribution of PTVs to all cities and municipalities nationwide in early December 2025.

With a total of 164 provincial PTVs distributed under the program, PCSO has now provided a total of 1,830 PTVs nationwide.

The PTV program is among PCSO’s health initiatives, which also include medical assistance for individuals and funding support for public health institutions and facilities nationwide, GM Robles said.
