
MALABON City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete has been recognized with the title of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialized area of Public Administration and leadership in lines with its Honoris Causa Doctorate Policies by the Thames International University (Paris, France) for his contributions in public service and leadership that helped in the development of Philippine cities.
The recognition is a testament to his commitment, dedication, and excellence in his field as a public servant, delivering quality service to the residents of cities where he served.
”Ito ay nagpapatunay sa ating patuloy na pagbibigay ng de-kalidad na serbisyo bilang opisyal ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Malabon, sa pangunguna ng ating kagalang galang na Mayor Jeannie Sandoval,” Rosete said.
The city administrator also serves as head of the City Housing and Urban Development Department that ensures ’Malabueños’ will live in safe and secured homes through socialized housing and the ‘Lupa Para Sa Mga Walang Lupa’ programs.
He‘s the director and chief administrative officer of the Manila City Government-Urban Settlements Office and has held various positions as Chief of Staff of the Secretary-General, Director of Human Resources and Administration, Fund Generation Director, and Communication Manager of the Philippine Red Cross.
In 2024, Dr. Rosete served as a speaker/presenter in different international conferences such as the International Conference on Urban Affairs in University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in New York, USA, the Housing Studies Association Conference in Manchester, United Kingdom, and the Joint Asia Pacific Network for Housing Research-Australiasian Housing Research Conference Conference, University of South Australia, Adelaide.
In those, conferences, he shared different strategies of the city government in good local governance, effective communication, digital technology, the campaign against misinformation and disinformation, and his dissertation entitled Management of Manila’s Land for the Landless Housing Services Program for Forty Years: Basis for Development Plan which earned the Best Dissertation award from De La Salle Araneta University.
He’s recognized as the Outstanding Alumnus in the Research Sector in 2025 and in the Government Sector in 2024 during the DLSAU Grand Alumni Homecoming for both years for his dedication and commitment to research and excellence in public service.
