FROM day one, newly designated Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Director PBGen. Romeo Macapaz made his leadership style loud and clear — no delays, no excuses, just action.
The assumption of his post wasn’t just ceremonial; it was a signal of a serious shake-up in how the CIDG will move forward under his command.
With his trademark line, “Ang pangalan ko Macapaz, ang serbisyo paspas,” the new CIDG chief is clearly not here to play safe. He’s here to get things done — fast.
In his first command conference, Macapaz wasted no time. He gathered his team, laid down directives and emphasized two non-negotiables: internal discipline and swift, accountable service.
Sabi nga niya, “We do the difficult things immediately.” That’s not just a motivational slogan — it’s a call to action. He warned that there would be zero tolerance for laziness, corruption or undisciplined behavior within the unit.
And when he says “walang imposible sa CIDG,” he means business.
With an impressive background in intelligence and field operations —having led crucial posts in the Intelligence Group, Directorate for Intelligence, and as Regional Director in the Bangsamoro region — Macapaz brings with him not just experience but credibility.
Hindi lang siya lider sa papel, he’s been on the ground. He’s faced the toughest assignments and delivered results.
During his time as a station commander in Manila, notorious criminals were arrested and key areas were cleared of lawless elements. His track record proves he’s not just talking the talk — he walks it.
What sets Macapaz apart is his combination of tapang at malasakit. He pushes for speed and efficiency, but never forgets the core purpose of the CIDG: to serve and protect the people.
Under his leadership, the public can expect a more proactive, responsive and disciplined CIDG — one that acts with urgency, guided by integrity.
Kung ganito ang klase ng pamumuno, then maybe, just maybe, we can finally say: Yes, sa CIDG — walang imposible.
