ALIMODIAN BREAKS GROUND FOR OWN POLICE STATION

FOR years, residents of Alimodian town in Iloilo province have hoped for a police station they could truly call their own — a permanent symbol of safety, stability and responsive governance.

On February 12, 2026, that hope took a decisive step toward reality as local and regional leaders formalized the establishment of the Alimodian Municipal Police Station through the ceremonial signing of the Deed of Donation with Acceptance at the municipal hall.

Leading the milestone event were PBGen. Josefino Ligan, director of Police Regional Office 6, Mayor Ian Kenneth Alfeche and Vice Mayor Geefre Calay Alonsabe.

Their shared commitment transformed a long-cherished aspiration into a funded and organized undertaking.

The three-storey police station will rise on 20,625-square-meter property along Magtanong Street, secured through the generosity of Ester Aligaen.

Behind the scenes, support from former Philippine National Police Comptroller Neil Alinsañgan helped move the process forward, while journalist Non Alquitran — fondly known as “Dipuga” — remained an enthusiastic advocate for stronger security infrastructure in his hometown.

The project reflects the resource-focused leadership agenda of PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio ‘Tateng’ Nartatez Jr. and the broader mission of the police organization to build safer, more resilient communities.

More than concrete and steel, the future police station represents unity in action — proof that when national leadership, local government and citizens align behind a shared vision, meaningful progress follows.

For Alimodian, this is not simply a new building; it is a firm foundation for peace, public trust and a more secure tomorrow.
