ANOTHER PRO-POOR HOUSING PROJECT TO RISE IN VALENZUELA

VALENZUELA City Mayor Wes Gatchalian was all set to hold the groundbreaking and capsule-laying ceremony for another housing project of his administration primarily designed for qualified poor constituents.

Set for construction is the Laon HOAs (Homeowners Associations) Federation Inc.-Community Mortgage Program Vertical Housing Project Phase III as part of the city’s 27th Charter Day celebration.

Under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s ’Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino‘ (4PH) program, the latest shelter project will feature five three-story buildings with a total of 240 housing units, providing more ‘Valenzuelanos’ with safe and affordable homes.

“This milestone underscores Valenzuela City’s commitment to providing sustainable housing solutions for its residents, in line with the national government’s push for inclusive urban development.”

”Through strategic partnerships and innovative programs like the 4PH, the city continues to uplift communities by ensuring secure and dignified living spaces for every Pamilyang Valenzuelano,” the workaholic Valenzuela mayor said.

2 in viral video questioned

Gatchalian was quick to extol the city police led by Col. Nixon Cayaban who mobilized his men that led to the identity of two persons who sowed confusion and fears among the city residents over the videos about ‘kidnappers roaming the city in black van’ they had posted and gone viral.

The mayor, himself, upon watching the videos posted on Facebook, couldn’t hide his outrage as he immediately asked Cayaban to trace the two non-resident uploaders’ whereabouts.

The two – a man and a woman – deeply apologized to Gatchalian and city residents for posting the videos, which they said they only grabbed from the other walls and shared the same that went viral in the end.

“We only wanted to make it clear that there was no such thing in the city. Our local police force has been actively patrolling in almost all corners of the city, hence, lawless criminal elements couldn’t penetrate here,” said Gatchalian who’s running unopposed for his second term in the May 12, 2025 midterm elections.

They’re allowed to go home but only after signing a waiver that a repeat of what they did would warrant the filing of a case against them.
