LED by Mayor John Rey Tiangco and Rep. Toby Tiangco, the Navotas City government has launched NavApp—its official digital gateway—marking a significant stride toward faster, more accessible, and more responsive public service for all Navoteños.

The launch took place at the Navotas Convention Center as part of the culmination of the week-long celebration of the 19th Navotas Cityhood anniversary.

According to the mayor, NavApp is a testament to their commitment to making city government services quicker, more convenient, and more widely available to every Navoteño.

“Residents can now easily connect with the local government—from booking appointments and processing business permits to paying city transactions and receiving important news and announcements.

Cong. Toby encouraged the Navoteños to create their NavoRehistro account to start taking advantage of the various services offered by the city government.

The Tiangco brothers extended their gratitude to all who took part in the launch, including city councilors, department heads, barangay officials, partners, and city government employees.

MOA with new scholars

The Navotas chief executive has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) that would provide scholarships to 177 Navoteño students and teachers for the school year 2026-2027.

Of this number, 23 are academic scholars, 144 are athletic scholars, and 10 are ‘Ulirang Pamilyang Mangingisda’ (Exemplary Family of Fisherfolk) scholarship beneficiaries.

“Education opens unlimited opportunities that can secure our children’s good future. This is why we continuously support those who strive to finish their studies and further their learning.”

“We want our scholars to reach their full potential and set an example to their fellow teachers and students, and at the same time, be of service to their family and our community,” he added.

The scholarship is given to family members of registered fisherfolk who won at the annual search for the Top Ten Most Outstanding Fisherfolk.

All scholarships are renewable yearly, depending on the compliance of the beneficiary set under terms and conditions. The city government also offers scholarships to students who exhibit exemplary artistic talent.

The MOA signing ceremony formed part of the cityhood anniversary celebration, Tiangco said.
