MANILA, Philippines – WELCOME kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang pagtutok ng Bosch sa Southeast Asia partikular na sa isinusulong ng Pilipinas na gawing modernisado ang public utility vehicles (PUVs) nito.
Sa isang pulong sa Berlin, Germany kasama si Vijay Ratnaparkhe, regional president ng Bosch para sa Southeast Asia at Bosch Singapore managing director, winelcome ng Pangulo ang pakikipagsapalaran ng Bosch sa transportation sector sa Asya lalo na sa gagawing paglipat ng bansa sa mas malinis na teknolohiya gaya ng electric vehicles (EVs) at hydrogen-powered vehicles.
“Right now, that’s where we are concentrating on because the conversion from petrol to hydrogen is also feasible. We’re supposed to, that’s why we’re still in that you know, you have to attend–we know where we are and we know where we want to be. How you get from A to B,” ang sinabi ng Pangulo sa isang pulong, partikular na ang paggamit ng hydrogen.
“Actually, our modernization and the costing of the running cost per kilometer of a new modern public utility vehicle and the cost — the running cost is much lower than the old diesel jeepneys, and taxis, and tricycles that we have. So yes, it is the transition that is always the difficult process,” diing pahayag ng Punong Ehekutibo.
Winika pa ng mga opisyal ng Bosch na kung titingnan ang passenger vehicle segment, ang paggamit ng hydrogen ay mas episyente sa mas malaking sasakyan kaysa sa maliliit na sasakyan.
Winelcome din ni Pangulong Marcos ang research and development (R&D) initiatives ng Bosch, na aniya’y isang malaking bentaha, umaasa na ang kompanya ay magdadala ng bagong teknolohiya sa Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng paglipat ng teknolohiya.
“The R&D has begun already and would be an advantage. We hope that you will bring that technology to the Philippines, transfer the technology to us so we can be—well, you will provide the state-of-the art, you can take advantage of that. But there are, the mobility area is an interesting [one],” aniya pa rin.
May nakikita rin sa Bosch na ilang potensiyal na oportunidad para magpartisipa sa muling pagsasaayos ng supply chain na nangyayari ngayon sa Southeast Asia, habang nagtatakda naman ng strategic resources na makakapag-ambag dito.
